- When SVAC was founded in 1998, split ACs were standard, centralised systems were only for large commercial buildings and five-star hotels, and VRV was a premium option — not the default.
- Today: 200+ service professionals, 400+ active AMC sites, 1 Lakh+ HP of VRV installed, 500+ clients across South India.
- Three things that have changed:
-
Scale —
The typical commission in 1998 was a single-floor office or a standalone residence. Today, SVAC executes across entire high-rise towers, hospital campuses, and industrial facilities with continuous cooling loads. -
Expectation —
Clients in 1998 expected AC to work. Clients today expect it to work efficiently, be zone-controllable, have minimal aesthetic impact, and come with a service commitment for years post-installation. -
Technology —
Daikin’s VRV platform has evolved from a capable zoning system to a highly intelligent network with centralised monitoring, predictive maintenance capability, and energy management integrations. -
One thing that has not changed:
The questions clients ask at the start of a project — Will it work? Will it last? Will someone be there when something goes wrong? These were the right questions in 1998 and they remain the right questions today. - SVAC’s answer across all three has been constant: a system designed for the space before any equipment is specified, installed by a technically capable team, and supported by a service organisation with the depth to honour its after-sales commitment at scale.
- The tools have changed enormously. The discipline has not.
